mHotspot is a software made for PC. It is capable of converting a Wifi enabled PC into a mobile hotspot. With the help of this software, you can make your laptop a wifi router and connect other devices to it. The computer can have any internet connection be it LAN, Ethernet or a broadband connection. The PC can also act as a repeater for a wifi signal.

Uses

Internet Sharing
The primary use of mHotspot is internet sharing. If a laptop or PC has a net connection through Ethernet, LAN or Datacard, mHotspot can be used to share that internet connection to other devices like phones, tablets etc.

Extending Wifi range
mHotspot can be used to extend a wifi signal range. If a PC is kept in the field of a wifi signal, but another PC or any other device is not in range then mHotspot can be used in the former device so that the latter device can also use the wifi.

Multiplayer Gaming
If you don't want to connect to LAN network or an Ethernet Hub but still want to enjoy multiplayer gaming, you can install mHotspot on any PC and set up the hotspot with 'No internet sharing'.
